Five children were killed and six people were wounded in a rocket attack in eastern Afghanistan, a government official said.
“A rocket fired by the enemies landed on a house in Alisher district this morning. Five children under the age of 13 were killed in the house and five people including a woman were wounded,” said Abdul Wahed Pathan, deputy governor for Khost province.
The attack took place after voting started, he said.
