Israeli Occoupation Forces killed Seven Palestinians on Friday during border protests along Gaza’s border, a spokesman for Gaza’s Health Ministry said.
Dr. Ashraf Al-Qudra, Palestinian Ministry of Health spokesman in the Gaza Strip said that six Palestinians were killd adding that the six martyrs were Ahmad Ibrahim Zaki al-Taweel (27) from Nusseirat, Mohammed Abdelhafeez Yousef Isma’il (29) from Bureij, Tamer Riad Abu Armanah (27) from Rafah, Mahmoud Afifi (32) from Gaza, Ahmad Ahmad Abdullah Abu Na’im, Hamada Abbas, and Abdullah Barham Sulaiman Al-Daghma (25) Abasan Al-Jadida.
Al-Qudra added that 252 Palestinians were wounded during confrontations on the border, 140 of them were wounded by live bullets fired by Israeli occupation soldiers.
Local sources in Gaza Strip said that the head of the political bureau of Hamas Ismail Haniyeh was injured as a result of inhaling tear gas.
According to the sources, thousands of Palestinian citizens participate in the graet return march.
The Palestinian protesters are demanding an end to an Israeli blockade on the narrow coastal strip, which is home to around 2 million Gazans.
They also seek the right to return to lands that Palestinians were driven from upon Israel’s founding in 1948.
The graet march of return began on 30 March, during which about 200 Palestinians were killed and more than 22 thousand wounded.
The Israeli military said that the demonstrators, numbering around 14,000, had been “hurling rocks, explosive devices, firebombs and grenades” at Israeli troops and at the fence.
