Israeli forces shot and injured a Palestinian young man twice in the hand on Saturday near the village of Beit Ur al Tahta west of Ramallah, sources at the Palestinian Red Crescent Society told Ma'an News Agency.

The Palestinian man was shot after a scuffle which broke out with an Israeli soldier on route 443, according to Palestinian sources.

Israeli occupation authorities claimed that the Palestinian man attempted to stab the Israeli soldier.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society said an ambulance was sent to assist the Palestinian man, who is currently in Israeli custody.
