Israeli forces shut down Huwwara checkpoint south of Nablus on Thursday afternoon due to clashes between young Palestinians and Israeli troops stationed at the checkpoint.Local sources told a Ma’an reporter that several demonstrators were hurt as Israeli soldiers showered them with tear-gas canisters.Separately, a group of Palestinian young men managed to bring down an Israeli flag and hoist a Palestinian flag instead at the entrance of Yitzhar settlement south of Nablus.Palestinian demonstrators also clashed with Israeli troops on the bypass road near Burin village south of Nablus. Palestinian medical sources told Ma’an that a young Palestinian man was hit in the face by a high-velocity tear gas. They confirmed that 25-year-old Alaa Muhammad Qadus from Burin was hospitalized after a tear gas canister hit him in the face during clashes with Israeli troops in the village.Two women and a baby girl suffered from tear gas inhalation in Burin. They were identified as Sanaa Qadus, Nisreen Qadus and Elya Qadus.
