Qatari Foreign Minister Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani today held a session of talks with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu and discussed the current situation in Syrian. The two sides focused particularly on recent developments in Eastern Aleppo and the outcome of the parties' meetings in Ankara and Moscow, as well as efforts to dispatch humanitarian relief-aid to civilians in besieged areas as well as other Syrian towns.
High Authority for Syrian Negotiations Chief Riad Hijab attended the meeting which focused on the future of the Syria crisis and ways of exploring a political solution on the basis of Geneva 1 agreement and the UN Security Council resolutions. The two sides reiterated the commitment of Qatar and Turkey to support the Syrian people, underscoring the importance of implementing a permanent ceasefire and ensure the safety of civilian population in compliance with international resolutions.
