A NATO soldier died in southern Afghanistan on Thursday, the coalition forces confirmed in a press release issued here. "An International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) service member died as a result of a non-battle related injury in southern Afghanistan today," the coalition or ISAF said in the release. The brief statement disclosed neither the nationality of the victim nor the details about the incident under the ISAF policy. A total of 50 countries are contributing 100,000-strong forces in Afghanistan with over 68,000 of them American mainly stationed in the east and south, followed by 9,500 from UK mainly based in southern Afghanistan.
