MP Muhammad Kabbani said in a statement he made this Friday that "some are calling for replacing dissociation with neutrality, which means neutrality between countries and in various conflicts."
"We do not doubt the patriotism of those uttering such proposal, but let us remember that Lebanon is an Arab country by belonging and identity, and therefore Lebanon cannot be neutral in a conflict between an Arab and a non-Arab state. This is particularly important in the Arab-Israeli conflict, where neutrality is totallt rejected. Israel is an enemy occupying the land of Palestine and still occupying other Arab territories such as the Golan and the Lebanese Shebaa Farms," he said
