The trial of former Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak has been adjourned until Wednesday, the Egyptian Nile TV channel reported. During the third session of the trial of Mubarak, his sons, the former interior minister and six top police officers, all charged with involvement in the killing of protesters in February\'s uprising, three witnesses denied their earlier statements that the Interior Ministry gave orders to open fire on demonstrators. Mubarak is charged with authorizing lethal force against protesters to crush the uprising in February that put an end to his 30-year rule. An estimated 850 people were killed and thousands wounded then. He could face the death penalty if convicted. He has denied the charges.
