French President Emmanuel Macron said on Tuesday that he has invited his Lebanese counterpart General Michel Aoun to pay a visit to France.
Macron also said that he would visit Lebanon next spring as part of a tour to the Middle East.
"I want to confirm our commitment to the countries that are experiencing divisions and tensions in the region," the French President said in a speech at the annual meeting of France's ambassadors to the world.
"Lebanon, which endures a critical situation, faces difficulties with great courage and a great sense of responsibility," Macron added, reiterating France's unremitting support to Lebanon "in the name of historic relations
