Leaders extend greetings to Pope Francis.

The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Vatican City State based in Paris, Dr. Muhammad Abdul Ghaffar, conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister and His Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander, First Deputy Prime Minister, to Pope Francis of the Vatican City.


This came during the meeting of Pope Francis with Dr. Abdul Ghaffar, during the celebration held for the heads of missions accredited to the Vatican City, on the occasion of the New Year 2018. Dr. Muhammad Abdul Ghaffar also met today with the Vatican Secretary of State, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, and the Secretary for Relations with States at the Vatican, Monsignor Paul Richard Gallagher.

During the meeting, the Ambassador viewed the distinguished relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Vatican City, and the continuous progress of these relations represented in the visit of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the Vatican City in 2014, and his meeting with Pope Francis.

The Ambassador praised the continuous cooperation between the two countries in programs related to peaceful co-existence between religions and cultures, which calls for the rejection of extremism by establishing the values of dialogue, peace and stability in various parts of the world, affirming the keenness to further progress these relations in the interests of the two friendly countries.
