Ministers Salim Jreissati (Justice) and Nohad Mashnouq (Interior) highlighted the importance of "the guide on crimes' classification and the related sentences in the Lebanese legislation," during the guide's launching ceremony at the Grand Serail on Tuesday.

"This guide is the first pillar of a strategy that outlines the Lebanese government's modern view on crimes and criminals," Jreissati said.

For his part, Mashnouq considered that the "aim of this guide is to establish a unified and reliable data base for crimes, which enhances legal culture
