Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte and Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz called on Tuesday for an inclusive European solution for the immigration crisis, as well as addressing problems facing Brexit negotiations.


Conte, at a joint news conference with Kurz in the wake of their talks to prepare for the informal European Union (EU) summit in Salzburg, Austria, said they discussed the issue of illegal immigration which was an EU priority, as well as negotiations with Britain over its exist from the EU.


Kurz said they talked about immigration and how to prevent a "tough Brexit." He said there should be a European solution for the illegal immigration and strengthening external borders.
