The Egyptian Foreign Ministry stressed that US Secretary of State John Kerry's vision on reviving the Middle East peace process mostly conforms with that of Egypt.
Commenting on Kerry's statement on Wednesday, the ministry's spokesman said on Thursday that Kerry's vision should be examined, noting that Kerry spoke about it during talks with Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry over the past few months.
The spokesman stressed that resuming peace talks between the Palestinian and Israeli sides needs great efforts within the coming period.
The spokesman accentuated that Egypt is always ready to contribute to these efforts in collaboration with its regional and international partners, topped by the US administration.
