Minsk - TASS
Minsk is ready to take under control the Russian-Ukrainian border and provide assistance to holding the elections in Donbass, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said at the Munich Security Conference Core Group’s meeting on Wednesday.
"We may undertake responsibility for ensuring peace in Ukraine’s eastern regions and control on the Russian-Ukrainian border, and also provide assistance to holding the Donbass elections, given that these regions are an inalienable part of Ukraine," Lukashenko said.
According to Lukashenko, Belarus is a small state, but is ready to make its contribution to solving conflicts. "We are really doing this, but we want to feel that we are high in demand of major world players."
The Belarusian leader stressed that to fulfill these proposals "it’s time to sit down at the negotiating table with the participation of all the parties concerned.".
