The Civilisation Interaction Conference between Muslim World and the United States is kicked off in the United Nations, with participation of 450 scholars and thinkers representing 56 states as well as Islamic and US intellectual and cultural institutions.
Secretary General of the Muslim World League (MWL) Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Isa; Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen; General President of Grand Holy Mosque and Prophet's Mosque Affairs Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Soudais and several VIPs from the Muslim World, attended the opening ceremony, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA)..
MWL Secretary-General Al-Isa delivered a speech in which he highlighted the historic interaction between the Muslim World and the United States through humanitarian, educational, economic and political cooperation. He added that this conference aims to highlight diversity and the need for coexistence and cooperation in the light of existing understanding to serve the mutual interests and service of humanity as a whole and to promote social peace and intellectual security and defeat evil
