At least 43 Egyptians died on Friday when a ferry boat capsized on the river Nile in Beni Suef governorate, 120 km South of Cairo, reported the Egyptian state-run news agency MENA. Rescue operations are still underway to pick up any possible bodies , said MENA but it did not mention more details about the number on board at the time of the accident nor the causes of the tragedy. Transport accidents are frequent in Egypt due to poor maintenance and negligence.
