Army Commander Joseph Aoun on Friday received at his office in Yarzeh the UN Deputy Special Coordinator for Lebanon and Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator for Lebanon, Philippe Lazzarini, with talks reportedly touching on the current situation in Lebanon and the broad region.

Major General Aoun also met with the Lebanese American University (LAU) President, Joseph Jabra, with talks centering on cooperation prospects
