Abu Dhabi - WAM
Mohammed Thani Murshed Al Rumaithi, Chairman of the UAE Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Husin Bagis, Ambassador of Indonesia to the UAE, discussed ways to enhance economic cooperation and promoting joint investments between companies and institutions operating in Abu Dhabi and Indonesia.
Al Rumaithi emphasised the importance of economic and trade cooperation between the UAE in general, and Abu Dhabi in particular, with Indonesia, who is considered an important trading partner.
However, the trade exchange figures between the two countries do not reflect their potential, which requires joint efforts to strengthen cooperation between companies and institutions in both countries, especially in the fields of industry, tourism, health services and education.
He also pointed out to exert efforts to introduce people in business and investors in the UAE to the available investments opportunities in Indonesia.
Bagis called on companies, businesspeople and investors in the UAE to invest in his country, especially in the fields of tourism, infrastructure and transportation.
He said that the Indonesian government is focusing on creating an attractive environment for investment through shortening procedures, promoting investment, modernising the economy and making Indonesia a competitive country.
