Five Palestinians, including a three-year-old boy, have been killed by an Israeli airstrike in the southern Gaza Strip. The airstrike came hours after Israel accused Palestinian militants of being behind attacks that killed seven in southern Israel. 5 members of the Popular Resistance Committees, including its commander were killed. Witnesses stated that an unmanned drone carried out the attack. The Hamas-linked group PRC then fired three rockets in the coastal city of Ashkelon in southwest Israel. The group said in a statement that the rocket-fire was in retaliation for the killing of their leader. Earlier, the Islamic Hamas movement, which controls Gaza, denied its responsibility for the attacks in Eilat, but vowed to respond if Israel launched retaliatory strikes.
