News sources reported Wednesday that the two sons of former President Hosni Mubarak, Gamal and Alaa, arrived at the prison Mazraa Tura prison in accordance to the decision of the Attorney General to detain them for 15 days over investigations into corruption cases. It should be noted that the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces affirmed through its homepage on the social networking site "Facebook" that legal investigations began Tuesday, with former President Hosni Mubarak and his family. The Egyptian public prosecutor had decided to summon Sunday, Mubarak and his two sons, Alaa and Gamal for interrogation on charges of corruption and killings of demonstrators in the first days of the popular revolt. The decision came shortly after a speech by Mubarak aired on "al Arabiya TV". He said during his audio speech that he is a victim "of unfair campaign and allegations" which cast doubt on his integrity. Mubarak stressed in this speech that he and his wife have no assets or property outside of Egypt, and his sons do not possess real estate abroad, but he did not deny they possess assets in foreign countries. Mubarak family has been in Sharm el-Sheikh on the Red Sea since he was toppled on February 11. Hundreds of thousands of Egyptians on Friday demanded the swift trial of Mubarak.
