Abroad parliamentary elections.

Around 60,000 Croats living abroad registered for voting in the upcoming Croatian parliamentary elections, set for Sept. 11, local media reported on Friday.

They would cast their ballots in 115 polling stations in 49 countries and chose three representatives, it said.

A total of 3.8 million eligible voters will elect 151 members of parliament from 2,456 candidates. There are eight seats reserved for representatives of minorities and three seats for Diaspora.

Nearly 7,000 polling stations across the country will open at 7 a.m. local time and the preliminary results are expected to be released around 10 p.m.

This is the second elections in ten months. Croatia Democratic Unionmed a coalition government with the junior party Most following last election in November 2015. The government stepped down after a no-confidence vote in June. An early election was called.
