Italian film "The Great Beauty" won the Oscar for foreign language film Sunday night at the 86th Academy Awards. Directed by Paolo Sorrentino, the film is about a writer, Jep Gambardella, starred by Toni Servillo, who finds himself at an emotional crossroads when he looks back after his 65th birthday. The other nominees in the category are Belgium's "The Broken Circle Breakdown," Palestine's "Omar" and Cambodia's "The Missing Picture." This is the 11th time that a film from Italy has won the award. Previous ones include "Life Is Beautiful" in 1998. The Oscar Awards Ceremony is being held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood with Ellen DeGeneres as the host of the televised gala, which is watched by millions across the world.
