The Zayed Higher Organisation for Humanitarian Care and Special Needs organised a number of events at its care centres in Abu Dhabi, to mark World Mental Health Day.

Moza Al Salami, Director of the Al Ain Centre for the Care and Rehabilitation of People with Special Needs, stressed that the celebration aimed to raise health awareness among the centre’s students, as well as educational and administrative personnel.

Al Salami called for more open discussions on mental illness and for investment in services and mechanisms to assist individuals to overcome mental health issues.
