World Health Organization (WHO) representative in Egypt John Jabbour asserted that technical and financial support to Egypt's health system would continue in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Population.

Interviewed by MENA, Jabbour said WHO's support to Egypt comes as part of previously planned programs in line with national plans outlined by the Ministry of Health.

He also said working plans that would be further supported in 2017 include a campaign to end Hepatitis C as well as the Ministry of Health's system for health insurance and other health services.

Other services to be supported include improving health services and preventive programs for Syrian refugees in Egypt and children vaccination programs, WHO official added.

The financial aid presented to Egypt in 2012-2013 reached dlrs 6 million, he said, noting that the value reached dlrs 8.5 million in 2014-2015 with 20 to 30 percent increase
