A UN summit on AIDS has agreed to set a target of getting treatment for 15 million sufferers by 2015, a diplomatic source and non government groups said Thursday. The final statement talks of universal access to lifesaving drugs and sets a target of 15 million people, two diplomats involved in the summit communique negotiations said. The international community currently funds treatment for about 6.6 million people in poorer countries mainly in Africa.
