Amman - Qna
King Abdullah II on Thursday ordered authorities to deploy a Jordanian field hospital to Libya to extend urgent medical assistance to the Libyan people and help them overcome their current difficult situation. The hospital, which will be ready within few days, will be supplied with all necessary medical equipment and run by Jordanian medical staff from the Royal Medical Services covering wide range of specializations. Last April, Jordan dispatched urgent medical and humanitarian assistance to Libya and Jordanian hospitals received more than 200 injured Libyans since the eruption of the uprising in the north African Arab nation. Jordan deploys a number of mobile clinics and field hospitals in a number of war-torn and disaster-stricken nations across the world including Afghanistan, Gaza, Jenin and Ramallah in the Palestinian territories, Liberia, and Congo.
