New logo of the Indonesia Health Ministry

Indonesias Ministry of Health launched a new logo of the ministry while commemorating the 52nd National Health Day at its premises here on Monday.

Minister of Health Nila F. Moeloek said the new logo was expected to infuse new spirit and help create an environment conducive to a healthy society.

"I hope it helps actualize the three pillars of Healthy Indonesia Program, and leads to ushering a sincere and universal spirit of serving," Minister Moeloek stressed.

The new logo has been designed by a professional designer, Kunto Baskoro. The logo conceived by Kunto Baskoro won a competition held by the Ministry of Health.

The logo is an amalgamation of a green cross and a turquoise heart, two colors often associated with health and freshness.

The shape of the heart depicts how health services are carried out with sincerity, Baskoro stated.

The slogan, "Bakti Husada," which was part of the old logo, does not figure in the new one.

"I wanted to create a minimalist-design without a slogan to make it look modern. Nowadays, logos follow a trend of sans letters in the design," Baskoro explained.

The new logo represent the three pillars of the Indonesia Health Program and four values of the Ministry of Health.
