A large number of Bahraini women suffer from direct effects of hormonal disorders which lead to emergence of increasingly growth of unwanted hair, skin pimples and hair falling. According to Dr. Mona Urayqat, endocrinologist in the Gulf Diabetes Center, more than 10% of Bahraini women sustain this disease, pointing out that between 5-10% of them contract the disease during pre-menopause age. The doctor told Bahrain News Agency (BNA) that the extent of the ailment varies from simple, inconspicuous hair growth to much unwanted hair growth which leads to severe psychological disorders in suffering women, therefore, examination of this health problem should not be overlooked even if it seems to be only superficial.
