Capital Governor Shaikh Hesham bin Abdulrahman Al-Khalifa chaired the second meeting of the Healthy City Committee.
The meeting was attended by the Kuwaiti Healthy Cities National Coordinator Dr. Ahmed Al-Shatti, Health Ministry officials, Capital Trustees, Deputy Governors and other figures.
The Governor stressed keenness on benefiting from Gulf expertise to implement the Health Cities project, in cooperation with the ministry, the Capital Trustees and other relevant authorities.
He underscored the importance of the project in improving the health, social and economic environment, underlining the need to cooperate with other tertiary sectors.
“The governorate has drawn up a draft blueprint of the project in accordance with the international standards for building healthy cities”, he said.
