The Palestinian Doctors Syndicate Sunday condemned the Israeli invitation to hold the first Conference on the European Health Policy in Jerusalem, according to a press release. Jawad Awwad, head of the syndicate, said it sent out memos urging Arab and international organizations to prevent holding the conference in Jerusalem, in complete disregard of the ongoing Israeli crimes in the Palestinian Territory. In addition, holding the conference in Jerusalem will cover up Israeli brutal, repressive practices against the Palestinian people, including “confiscating and stealing all Palestinian abilities” for decades, said the press release. Minister of Health, Fathi Abu Mughli, previously demanded the prevention of holding the conference in Jerusalem, and praised the stance of 38 international and humanitarian organizations that signed a joint document condemning the holding of the conference there.
