DUBAI - Arab Today
The fourth day of the Pink Caravan Ride wrapped up in Ras Al Khaimah with 622 free screenings from its daily and fixed clinics across the country, demonstrating the nation and its people’s generous spirit.
The pan-UAE breast cancer awareness drive features free screenings, in which 103 Emiratis and 519 expats have undergone 197 mammograms, 381 regular screenings and 44 ultrasounds so far.
“We are a charitable nation, and our foundations are built on nurturing human capacities, both physical and mental. We know that people in this nation lead busy lives, which often overshadows their responsibility towards their health,” said Reem Bin Karam, Chairperson of the Higher Organising Committee of the Pink Caravan Ride.
“One of the main objectives of the Pink Caravan Ride campaign is to make information and check-ups as accessible to the people as possible. That is why you will see that the fixed medical clinics are set up in malls, corniches and other public places across the seven emirates,” she added.
Meanwhile, Pink Caravan Ride’s exclusive ladies-only event, ‘Pink Yoga’ was held at the Dubai Ladies Club where ladies of all age groups and nationalities came for free screening and an outdoor yoga session
