The Saudi Health Ministry said Sunday a person died of the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-Cov), known as corona virus.

According to the ministry, the number of people who died of the virus in Saudi Arabia rose to 588 deaths.

The number of infections also raised to 1,372 people after a new case was reported. 

The ministry said that 783 cases have been discharged from hospitals, while eight persons are still receiving treatment.
