The University of Juba has awarded the honorary doctorate to the President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, in recognition of his role for realizing peace and stability in the region, especially in the Republic of South Sudan and his sponsorship to the peace negotiations between the dispute parties in South Sudan State, the signing of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement between Sudan government and Sudan People’s Liberation Movement, besides his efforts for achieving peace in the Central African Republic.
