Supply and Internal Trade Minister Khalid Hanafy left on Tuesday for Washington at an invitation from the World Bank to explain Egypt's experiment in applying the new bread and ration card products systems.
The new systems contribute to economic reforms via applying direct cash subsidies for the first time in Egypt.
Planning Minister Ashraf el Arabi also left for Washington on an official visit to the headquarters of the World Bank.
Arabi will participate in the WB activities aiming at sharing international expertise and knowledge in the social protection networks area.
