Council of Representatives Speaker Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al-Mulla urged stronger cooperation to maintain the security and stability of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states. He stressed the crucial role of the GCC legislative branches in supporting efforts to preserves gains and achievements, bolster the democratic and development march and enhance combat preparedness to confront potential challenges and threats.
In a statement today, he said that the 10th meeting of the GCC legislative councils which will be held next week in Bahrain will focus on these key issues. He commended the high combat readiness of the GCC forces during the GCC joint-security exercise, Arabian Gulf Security 1, paying tribute to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa for patronising the event. He also hailed the keenness of the GCC leaders on bolstering cooperation, commending the efforts of the Ministry of Interior to ensure the success of the Arabian Gulf Security 1.
