Minister of Education, Marwan Hamadeh, called on the government to work immediately on preventing the painful scene of having a Lebanese Ambassador hand over his credentials to Damascus -- "to those who were responsible of killing more than 500,000 Syrian victims and hundreds of Lebanese victims."

"Enough mistakes that affect our foreign relations negatively," Hamadeh said.

He regretted having the highly competent diplomat, Saad Zakhya, deal with the officials of this (Syrian) regime, which faces today unprecedented political, diplomatic, Arab and international isolation, and at a time when Lebanon continued to bear the burden of Syrian refugees
