Kim Hong-kyun

South Korea's special representative for Korean Peninsula Peace and Security Affairs Kim Hong-kyun will visit Beijing on June 8-9.
South Korea's Ministry of Foreign Affair said Sunday that during the visit, the South Korea's nuclear envoy will hold talks with his Chinese counterpart Wu Dawei, according to South Korea's (Yonhap) News Agency.
Kim's planned visit comes only several days after a North Korean delegation led by Ri Su-yong, vice chairman of the North Korean ruling party's central committee, completed its three-day Chinese visit last Thursday.
The South Korean nuclear envoy is expected to seek direct feedback on the Chinese government's talks with Ri.
"In the upcoming talks, South Korea and China will exchange views on the Korean Peninsula situation after the North's seventh party congress, thorough implementation of the United Nations Security Council resolution against North Korea, deterrence of the North's additional provocations, and the overall bilateral cooperative measures about the nuclear issues concerning North Korea," a ministry official said.
