President Salva kiir

Abdel Fattah El Sisi received on Thursday a phone call from his South Sudanese counterpart Salva Kiir, Presidency Spokesman Alaa Youssef said.

During the call, Kiir reviewed the latest development concerning the implementation of the peace agreement signed in August 2015.

Kiir signed the final peace agreement to end the 20-month long civil war against his former deputy, Riek Machar.

He also asserted his country's keenness to foster relations with Egypt in all fields.

Meanwhile, Sisi asserted Egypt's support to the South Sudanese government its developmental efforts.

He also wished that South Sudan will form a transitional government as soon as possible to restore security and stability in the African country.
