Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi will arrive in New Delhi today on a three-day visit

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi arrived here on Thursday, on a three-day state visit at an invitation of Indian President Pranab Mukherjee.

Sisi is scheduled to meet Indian Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj at 8:00 a.m. (local time).

Sisi will be given a reception at the presidential palace on Friday morning at 9:00 a.m. 

The president will then put a wreath on the Tomb of Mahatma Gandhi at 9:30 a.m. 

Sisi will hold important talks at 10:00 a.m. with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on boosting bilateral ties in the economic, investment and development fields, given India's successful achievement of comprehensive development and a diversified national industrial base.

Sisi is to have talks with Indian Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari at 4:00 p.m. and the Indian president at 7:30 p.m. 

His talks with Indian officials are also to focus on an array of issues of mutual concern, topped by the Middle East issue and efforts to fight terrorism.

Egypt and India are also to work on boosting and diversifying trade exchange that now stands at 4 billion dollars per year and promoting the participation of Indian companies in ongoing national projects.

On Saturday, Sisi will leave India for China on a two-day visit to attend the G20 Summit in Hangzhou, the capital city of China's Zhejiang Province.
