Cairo - Arab Today
Ambassador Hossam Zaki, Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab League, has emphasised that the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan was an Arab figure with foresight, who built his country and laid the foundations of its modern renaissance.
In his remarks to a correspondent from the Emirates News Agency, WAM, in Cairo, Zaki said, "In line with the Year of Zayed 2018, launched by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the late Sheikh Zayed supported fraternal and friendly countries and left an immortal legacy of giving and noble values. He also prepared a promising generation that follows in his footsteps in terms of building and constructing, which positioned the country among the world’s developed nations."
"The moment you mention the name of the late Sheikh Zayed, you remember the value of giving, as he was a symbol of charity and giving. After his death, the Arab world had lost a valuable figure, but he will be remembered in their hearts and minds," he added.
