H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah and the Honourable President of the Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services inaugurated on Wednesday, in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, the media production and training centre for disabled, the first centre of its kind in the Arab world.
The inauguration was carried out at the second edition of the International Festival of Photography Xposure 2017, at Expo Centre Sharjah, according to the Sharjah 24 news website.
Sheikh Sultan inspected the pavilion of the Media Centre, and was briefed on its services provided to physically challenged people.
Sheikha Jameela bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Director-General of Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services, thanked Ruler of Sharjah for opening the new centre for people of determination as part of H.H.'s support for the City.
She also congratulated Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council, SMC, for the success achieved by the first session of the International Festival of Photography.
She explained that the aim of establishing of a new centre is to create more opportunities for disabled to exercise their rights to the professions and jobs they desire. She called on all special people to join the new centre.
