H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University of Sharjah (UoS), affirmed the university's unceasing progress in its scientific and academic standing globally.

He added that the university goes in steady steps according to a clear approach and with the continuous efforts of its administration and board of trustees.

Sheikh Sultan’s words came while attending part of the meetings the MoS administration, held at the Oceanic Hotel in Khorfakkan, to discuss the university’s development plans in the presence of Dr. Humaid Majul Al Nuaimi, Director of the University of Sharjah, members of the Board of Trustees, Director’s deputies and deans of faculties.

During the meeting, His Highness pointed to the importance of scientific research on which the university focuses in its strategy as an important element in scientific advancement, providing students with important science and knowledge, and reaching results and discoveries that serve the various university’s scientific fields and development.

His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah urged the university administration to exert more efforts to better its performance, praising the great diversity of academic programmes of the various scientific stages, which serve all segments of the society.

His Highness also reviewed the results of the two-day discussions and the interaction that contributes to producing the best recommendations and scientific and practical plans.

The meeting also discussed a number of important topics that serve the development march of the university's scientific, academic and administrative performance, the level reached by the university and the objectives achieved. The participants also reviewed many developmental ideas that augment the realisation of the future vision of the constant progress the university is witnessing in all fields and at various levels.

The University administration valued the untiring support and constant follow-up of His Highness of the university’s progress since its inception to reach the prestigious level in the current period and His Highness’ guidance for more progress in the international standing of the University of Sharjah.
