Sharjah Crown Prince chairs Executive Council meeting

The Sharjah Executive Council today held its weekly meeting, headed by H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, with the attendance of H.H Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Vice President of the Executive Council, in the office of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

The meeting began with the approval of the minutes of the last meeting while various issues listed on the agenda were presented. Several decisions were also made, to realise the emirate’s vision of serving its citizens and residents.

The Council praised the decision of Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed to raise the salaries of employees of the departments and institutions of the Sharjah Government, starting on 1st January 2018, which will include all job grades and pensioned workers.

It also supported the Sharjah Ruler’s directives to invest in national human resources, with the aim of improving the capacities of the UAE’s nationals, to become influential and efficient employees to serve their country.

The Council then issued Resolution No. 40 of 2017 on amending the list of the commercial grades, scientific qualifications and practical expertise of Sharjah Government employees.

It also approved an agreement, to be signed by the Sharjah International Airport Authority, Sharjah Taxi and the Sharjah Asset Management Company, on the transportation of passengers, and the fourth series of land allocations for 2017, amounting to 893 plots.

Eng. Khaled Butti bin Butti Al Muhairi, Chairman of the Planning and Survey Department, stated that this batch of allocations includes 532 residential plots, with beneficiaries in Sharjah City, Al Hamriyah, the Central Region and the Eastern Region, as well as 150 commercial plots in Sharjah, Al Hamriyah and the Central Region, and 211 industrial plots in all regions. The total number of plots allocated in 2017 to is 2,215, he added.

The Council also reviewed the Decrees, resolutions and laws issued by His Highness, the Ruler of Sharjah.
