President of Senegal Macky Sall is in Islamabad on a two-day official visit to discuss bilateral cooperation with Pakistan in diverse fields.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif received the premier at the airbase, where a 21-gun salute welcomed his arrival in Pakistan, Geo TV reported.
The Senegalese president is heading a 34-member delegation. During the visit he will hold talks with PM Nawaz Sharif on bilateral relations, regional and international issues.
President Sall is also scheduled to meet with the Adviser to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs and the Minister for Defense, Chairman Trade Development Authority of Pakistan and Chairman Board of Investment during the visit.
The two countries will explore possibilities of building upon existing bilateral ties in a wide range of fields. They will also focus on strengthening bilateral economic and trade relations and defense cooperation.
