President of Fiji receives credentials of UAE Ambassador

President of Fiji, George Konrote, has received the credentials of Saleh Ahmed Al Suwaidi, UAE Ambassador to Fiji, during a reception ceremony held at the presidential headquarters in the country's capital, Suva, which included a presentation by the Fiji's Guard of Honour.

The UAE Ambassador conveyed the regards of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to the President of Fiji. He also conveyed their wishes for the progress and prosperity of Fiji and its people.

Al Suwaidi also stressed the keenness of the UAE Government to develop its bilateral relations with the Republic of Fiji in all fields.

President Konrote welcomed the new Ambassador, expressing his delight over the strong bilateral relations the two friendly countries enjoy, and thanked the UAE Government for its continuous support to the government and the people of Fiji.

He also reciprocated his greetings to His Highness Sheikh Khalifa, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, wishing the UAE continued progress and prosperity.
