Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was discharged from the hospital and shifted to home in London, media reports said.
The prime minister was released from hospital after five days of his open-heart surgery on May 31.
He was accompanied by his sons, Hussain Nawaz and Hassan Nawaz, his wife Kulsoom Nawaz on his way to home.
“Doctors satisfied with PM’s progress and latest reports,” his daughter Maryam said on Twitter.
Sharif appeared fit and healthy as he walked out of hospital toward his car. He smiled at the party activists and waved his hand.
Earlier, Hussain Nawaz had said his father was fast recovering as he had started taking light meals and he would soon be shifted to house, given that doctors allowed him.
“As per the doctor’s advice the prime minister has started regularly shorts walks,” he had said while talking to media in London.
Hussain Nawaz had said doctors had advised the prime minister to take one to two week complete rest and then he might be able to travel to Pakistan.
He said doctors conducted regular check-ups of the PM. He said various post-operation medicines had also been stopped.
Spokesperson to the premier said it might take Sharif three weeks to return to Pakistan.
