International Cooperation and Investment Minister Sahr Nasr will start her official visit to the US on Thursday by leading her country's delegation to the ministerial meeting of Group of 24 to start Thursday.
The meeting will take place on the sidelines of the spring meetings of the World Bank in Washington.
In statements, Nasr said she will review the strong economic reforms Egypt has undertaken to upgrade its economy and provide an investment-magnet atmosphere.
The meeting will also review development challenges facing developing countries.
The Group of 24 (G24), a chapter of the G-77, was established in 1971 to coordinate the positions of developing countries on international monetary and development finance issues and to ensure that their interests were adequately represented in negotiations on international monetary matters.
The group is not an organ of the International Monetary Fund. Its meetings usually take place twice a year, prior to the International Monetary and Financial Committee and Development Committee meetings, to enable developing country members to discuss agenda items beforehand.
