Minister of economy opens cityscape Qatar 2016

Under the patronage of HE the Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani, HE the Minister of Economy and Commerce Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani opened on Tuesday evening ‘Cityscape Qatar 2016’ three-day exhibition at Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC). 
In a statement on the occasion, HE the Minister of Economy and Trade confirmed that the State of Qatar move towards the diversification of economy constitutes a basic element for the growth of the real estate sector in the state, adding that Qatar's commitment to the execution of infrastructure projects as part of its national vision 2030 and in the context of preparations for hosting the 2022 World Soccer Cup, have directly contributed to the development of the real estate sector due to its link to many significant economic sectors such as tourism, trade, investment and construction. 
He pointed out that the participation of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce in the opening of Cityscape Qatar 2016 came as part of its keenness to give the real estate sector the importance that it deserves as it is an important tributary to economic development in Qatar. 
HE Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani made a tour of the exhibition where he visited pavilions of real estate companies which displays their most modern real estate development projects in the State of Qatar and the World. 
Running in parallel to Cityscape Qatar 2016, the only international real estate development and investment event in Qatar, will be two key content-rich events, including the Cityscape Qatar Market Overview which will feature an industry led panel discussion that will examine the role of real estate in achieving Qatar’s long term goals. 
The exhibition, which is expected to attract thousands of visitors, will open from 01.00 pm to 10.00 pm. 
Cityscape Qatar Talks, a series of free-to-attend seminars for industry professionals and those members of the wider public who are interested in learning the secrets of profitable real estate investment and understanding how to build a quality international property portfolio will also take place during the exhibition. It will provide attendees with insights on a number of wide ranging topics, including ‘International Property Investment’ as well as ‘Real Estate Valuation and Transactions Trends in the GCC Region’, and will place a particular focus on Qatar, the UAE, Turkey, the UK and US real estate sectors.
