German Chancellor Angela Merkel arrived in Poland Monday for bilateral talks with Polish Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz.
Merkel arrived with various members of her cabinet for the 13th German-Polish government-level consultations with Kopacz and her ministers.
German News Agency (DPA) said the main topics for discussion are expected to be the conflict in Ukraine, train connections between the two countries and the minimum wage for long-distance drivers in Germany.
The summit was also expected to make preparations for the upcoming Eastern Partnership summit in May in the Latvian capital Riga.
The Eastern Partnership brings together the European Union and the former Soviet states of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.
