The Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (ICCIA) has re-elected HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Thani, Chairman of Qatar Chamber, as Vice-President of the Islamic Chamber and Saleh Kamel as President of the Islamic Chamber during a meeting in the Omani capital Muscat.
A statement issued by Qatar Chamber said that the Chamber participated in the 25th Board of Directors Meeting and the 33rd General Assembly Meeting of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture.
During the general assembly meeting, a number of issues on the agenda were discussed, including the addition of exchange and services to the main activities of ICCIA, the nomination of a president, board members and financial committee for the new term of 2017-2021 as well as electing the vice president and secretary general and reviewing some studies prepared by the chamber, including one on the textile industry in the Islamic world.
